I am hoping all went well this morning, it's a lovely day here so hope it was bright and dry in Holland too.

Rachel and her husband managed to get over for the funeral, shame they couldn't visit more often when Joyce needed to see them but at least now, she won't have to worry herself about the family, she can watch over all of them.

Thank you Liz I also will raise a cup for Joyce, i had got an Easter card to send to her because due to my hubby and I both having pneumonia before Christmas I didn't get to send any and I hadn't thanked her for her card.

Rest in peace Joyce in the knowledge that you are remembered by many for all your kind deeds.

Thoughts are also with her Jan and family.

And 9.45am in Holland, Jan, and those who knew and loved her, will be saying goodbye to Joyce/Dutch.

Sheila and I and other friends will be raising a cup of tea to our dear friend and remembering her in the many ways she touched our lives. Her kindness and generosity in making collections for others, sending her lovely handmade cards all over the world, and caring about others, and her courage fighting back from her health problems, especially the stroke, and her love for her family especially, were all things that made Joyce the person we knew.

Sometimes she exasperated us, often she amused us, we struggled to understand her posts after her stroke, but had to admire her determination to make herself understood, which did improve hugely. She yearned to keep coming back to her stamping ground and catch up with friends, old and new, and her beloved family. I loved being able to surprise her when I arrived at meets and she had already booked the hotel for this August for what she thought would be her last visit. Sadly now she won't be able to be in the UK for her 75th birthday meet, but we will try to get together if Jan still visits and I am sure Joyce won't be far away.

Rest in peace, Joyce You certainly won't be forgotten
