Toffees will do you less harm in the long run, Sharron. :-)

I took up knitting and started on a pair of socks.

Despite many, many attempts, I couldn't quite master the heel.

It turned into the world's longest scarf.

I seem to remember taking up darts, many years ago when I disentangled myself from a certain large waste of time & space.

Now you have mastered dishcloths how about moving on to a long scarf ...ideal for strangling her if she should dare mention the down side of what I think is a very healthy self medication. I myself am quite partial to a Werther's Toffee

'A good wife never shortened a satisfied husband's life'.

Well, I think that is something like the quote I remember from long ago.

Did you strangle her with a dishcloth?

I would have at least battered her with the toffee tin :-D

Somebody was giving me a detailed account of how she dealt with her divorce, the therapy she undertook and particularly the different medications she took for the stress.

I happened to mention that I was sitting out a bit of bother that I was having by knitting dishcloths and having a close and loving relationship with the toffee tin which has just about run it's course now although the dishcloths are still coming thick and fast.

She, who is still taking some sort of medication after something like ten years, said

"Ah, but toffees are very bad for you.".
