OH and myself have been chatting about what we will do when we no longer have dogs.
We have decided that after Mini and Minx there will be no more in our home. ....well apart from the odd holiday dog (same as we do with nephew and nieces..nice to have nice to send home).

To make ourselves happy about the fact we will lose them both soon we talk about what we can do.
Both go on holiday together ..now that´s a bonus ! :-D

We have both been to Disney Florida before he with boring friends me with my mother.

I want to go to Disney with my OH :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D .


and what crazy thing do you want to do ?

Id loveeee loveee love to go back to disneyland florida, and universal, and busch gardens, n everything else in florida, thats is truely amazing, like a different world,


my next holiday is probably mexico, were I want to swim with sharks,

I bet some folk hope they eat me ;-) :-D

I'd like to cycle 100 miles around the lovely undulating Devon countryside in one day - like I used to do occasionally when I was a tad younger & fitter, with a bunch of equally mad comrades - just to get out of a spot of tedious weekend household jobs which have been on the waiting list for ages.

“On yer bike!” - herself yells with a scorn while balancing up on a precarious ladder clipping the high hedge in the back garden.

I currently have a very cossetted cat welded to my arm, as he has been for much of the day.

Of course we want him to live for ever but, when he is superceded by that black one I am feeding in the garden, we will finally get to sleep somewhere other than this house for the first time in over eight years now.

We are thinking about some old fart coach trips for a starter.

I have always wanted to ice skate down a long frozen river in Germany and take in the scenery as I go. Not much hope with RA in every joint of my body LOL.

Stray I loved Busch gardens and all things Florida which is probably why I want to go there with OH instead of Mother dear :-D

Phyll that really sounds amazing, it´s not for me as it´s cold and I am not sure my ankle will ever skate again. but what a wonderful journey it would be.

Sharron old fart coach trips can be fun. You have the same problem that I have the choice of being free against the loss of a loved pet.

I have lost count of the number of times we have been to Orlando. I can remember six plus once to Disney Los Angeles. Love it my OH's favourite it's a. Small world :-D

The places I really want to go to are Guedelon where they are building the manor house and Bremen and Kampen where there are mediaeval boats.

I can't imagine OH will want to come with me any more than anybody else would but he is going to have to.

He may have to come to one or two seminars as well. Serves him right!

I will come and cat sit Sharron, would enjoy it, I miss my cats

we really really wanted to go to Churchill, on Hudson's Bay, to see the polar bears .....................

we wanted to there and back from Winnipeg by train, and spend 4 or 5 days in Churchill, and take at least 2 rides out on the tundra in a Tundra Waggon.


In other words ............... travel as independent tourists


The alternative is to go with a tour company from Winnipeg ..........

......... they fly in 1 day, tundra tour 2nd day, out the rd day ............... so 2 nights in Churchill

and charge double to almost triple what we would be spending for travel, tours and 4 or 5 nights IF we could only make it work



Hard lines ...................

.......... the tour companies book up ALL the hotel rooms in November for the following October.

........... There is one company in Churchill that offers independent tours in Tundra Waggons, all the other companies work only with the tour companies


But no point booking the Tundra Waggon if you can't get a bed



and anyway .................... my OA means that I wouldn't be able to walk around much


so we've canned the idea



still .......... we can dream :-)
