Why not try posting a query on either the Find Ancestors or Genealogy Chat Boards and see what help you get ............. you might be amazed at what obscure sites people like Joan know about

cheers for that...use scotlands people regularly, just a pity i wasted money on credits that i cant use on this site... ho hum...thanks for the replies

ancestry has some Scottish Records

you might also find some on the free LDS site .............

otherwise, as LS says, you have to use the Scotlands People site ...................

which is in the same "stable" of companies as GR, ie under the BrightSolid umbrella


Scotlands People is a pay per view site ................... you have to buy credits to look at the records.

Paul ~ I don't use GR's records, I believe they only have transcribed census records for Scotland.
