That's awful, but at least his family had a chance to be with him at the end I hope.

May he rest in peace now

The man died this morning.

The news report said they were both experienced parachuters

Very, very sad.

Oh how traumatic for the lady's partner, he will never get over seeing her crash, poor man.

Dreadful for the instructor too, what on earth could have happened? Freak wind, her error, surely not his?

The families and all involved must be devastated.

I heard & saw the rescue helicopter fly past yesterday, thought something had happened, as it wasn't the usual training route.

When we go out on the highway, we often see lots of parachutes in the air....... the man who is critical in hospital is one of the main instructors, with many years of experience.

The partner of the woman who died had already jumped......... he was on the ground, watching. Poor man.

Very sad.

Sad that people enjoying hobbies lose their lives, but I suppose if your time comes, better suddenly when enjoying yourself than a long drawn out illness.

I hope the man involved makes a good recovery.

May the lady who died, rest in peace

Yesterday afternoon.

There's a small airstrip near us, mainly for light planes & helicopters...... joyflights, and for parachuting.

Two parachutists were involved in an accident yesterday, the chutes got tangled; a woman died at the scene and a man was taken by rescue helicopter to hospital, in a very serious condition.

All I know is that they are local people.
