Have posted twice, but the second one refuses to leave this 'cosy' post, feels nice and comfy here. So, sorry, I have to leave it slumbering.

Sharron, I had one of his female work mates on my phone earlier.
As I am in quite a good frame of mind today (>>> looks round.. in case I have any bitten off heads laying round me ... no looks ok) I decided to let her ask after my day & sound shocked that my computer was sending Microsoft nasty reports.

I then asked if that meant Microsoft had faulty products as I run Microsoft Utilities. She then tried to tell me that it was this programme that was sending back fault results. I let her read off more of her spiel, whilst I went to make my coffee. On my return she was explaining how all my problems could be rectified & future problems prevented. So I stopped her & asked her if this miracle cure could stop cold callers trying to con me into buying unnecessary software. Even this did not stop her, she continued talking about viruses & people stealing passwords, how older people were often targeted.
I then informed her that MU was not the only barrier to get through as my son actually did security work for Microsoft & other companies, anyone attempting to break into my files would get far more that they were expecting.
She put the phone down before I could thank her for her call.

I've said this before, but I find it priceless.
A friend (who genuinely doesn't have either a computer nor a mobile phone) was called by his bank offering him internet banking.
He actually went through the whole process, and the caller went to end the call.
My friend then said 'When can I expect it to be delivered?'
Caller 'What?'
Friend 'The computer'
Caller 'What do you mean?'
Friend 'Well, you've just set me up for internet banking. Surely, if you offer me a service, you also have to provide the means of using that service? BT offered me a phone line, and provided the phone. You've offered me internet banking, therefore shouldn't you provide the computer?'
Caller 'You haven't got a computer?'
Friend 'No'
Caller puts phone down - hard :-D

When he asks for your credit card details, make sure it takes 30+ mins to find it, and then of course you realise you don't have one lol :-D

do what my friend's dad did - ask him how it can be fixed, then how you should pay for the service - leave it a while so you can look for your credit card and then say you've just remembered you don't have a computer :-D

I have, at this moment, a very nice and caring Indian gentleman chatting away on the telephone to tell me about the signals my computer is sending him.

I wonder if he knows the phone is face down over there.
