Is on BBC 4 at 9pm tonight.

It is so not a "feel good" film.........but it is brilliant in my opinion.

Certainly not for the "faint-hearted"

I watched part of it a few years back but missed some, so recorded it more recently, and o.h. put it on disc for me. Haven't watched it yet as will have to be in the right frame of mind to cope with the violence in it.

It is cruel and violent Liz.........not something I would usually recommend.

I think it was the Father-Son aspect of the story that interested me.

Actually.........just popped back on to BBC4........and changed my mind.

Don't watch it!

I watched a programme on the Strangeways riot.
Very interesting.
The supposed 'ringleaders' had a point - and now seem very nice blokes.

I normally avoid anything with cruelty and violence in. It sickens me but I know the storyline is interesting.

If you never watch sub titled movies then you are denying yourself some wonderful stuff.

There is not an English version of "The Kite Runner" it uses both English and the Afghanistan version of Farsi. Compared to the original book it is much watered down.

BBC4 is not generally known for its mellow programming.

I thought it was excellent and a million miles better than Richard Gere and his pron movie.
