He's clever!
My gran died on 31st October :-D

Mum, who was born on the Summer solstice (21 June), just missed dying on the Winter solstice (21 December), by one day!!!

BUT, a grandson was born on the Spring solstice (21 March).

Me, pagan? No :-D

It is not a year ago until the 18th but, knowing that the queen has two birthdays, he chose a day that could be remembered twice.

He is probably expecting me to troop the colour on one of those days and he can keep on expecting too!

How nice to sit and think awhile
Of little things to make you smile
Of happy things you did in fun
Long ago when you were young.

To think of people who were kind
And left a ray of life behind
People who were nice to know
When you were young long time ago.

So come and sit with me awhile
And think of things to make us smile.

(From Alice Taylor’s book entitled ‘Do You Remember?’ published 2014 - especially for those of us who mourn a loved one this Easter weekend.)

She's probably pushing him Sharron, bet they are having fun though.

Yes like my Dad choosing Christmas day. I swear he did it on purpose so we'd remember.

Is it really a year since Fred left us. Remembering the laughs Fred.

Wouldn't you just know that he would work it so that there were two significant days involved so that he could be remembered twice!

Had not realized it was today until I looked at the news.

Fred took his leave of us last Maundy Thursday.

I wonder if he is riding about somewhere with Buttercup on his knee like she said they used to do at the church fete.

I don't know, I didn't go!
