DH has gone to do some gardening........

He said........

"I have to look at the sick cephalopod"

:-S :-S :-S

He meant one of the bromeliads :-D

In case you don't know, a caphalopod is a squid :-D

The bromeliad he was playing with is an unusual one...... the flower is enormous, a long stalk about 5' long, covered with red & yellow flowers. The stalk had drooped a bit, so he was looking for a long stake for it. We have many different bromeliads in the garden, lots of them in flower now.

He was playing silly bugga with the caphalopod comment, probably because I call everything Florabunda fabullacca.... or some other daft made up name :-D

We do have some squid in the freezer..... in the section he keeps the fishing bait.

Fred was a great one for the Latin names of things.

Neighbours son came in from going round the front garden with Fred and told he he had just been looking at the Jawonnapiss!

lolol

Wish I could remember which plant it was............... I remember it had yellow flowers

As children we called it "peethebed"

If you went near a plant, the other children would chant " peethebed peethebed " and follow you home........ all shouting.

You may be seeing my passion flower pass by your window soon. It seems hell-bent on taking over the world.
