Age has nothing to do with it, either, though the older you are, the less you may suspect trollers/spammers and down right ne'er do-wells.
I'm sure Les will feel mollified that he's 'done quite well' for his age in your eyes.

I have never said I wasnt Maggie , I am well aware of Leslie's age he is the same age as my mum ,actually I think he has done really well, the picture obviously upset and distressed him when he thought it was real and people have pointed how to check if he comes across something of the same again, how and why this rubbish is sent on the net .....get over yourself .

It's all very well to say 'check it', but it's not always easy for everyone. Some people have only got 'into' the internet quite recently and not everyone has a thorough knowledge of the liars, cheats and cr*p on the internet.

It took 10 seconds to check out the validity of the photo and to find it was a fake. Maybe everyone should check before passing on such rubbish.

But people WERE getting at Les Ann. People commenting like they were talking to children, it sickened me to be honest . I feel for Les - so the photo had been around since 2012 - I hadn't seen it and I dare say many others hadn't.

What worries me most is the gullibility of people who believe that what they see on FB is 'real' without questioning it, it's the same mindset that the propagandists work to ( see the tactics of the 'far right' groups with their doctored photos and articles) .... and the online scammers, and the people who forward the most appalling xenophobic tosh in emails without ever once checking its validity.
