OH has just given me the newspaper and told me to pick a horse for the Grand National, cos he's going to the bookies in a bit!

I am always torn, cos I like the excitement of the race, but I also am frightened for the horses, so I peep through my hands, and close my eyes at the fences!

I'm a big hypocrite cos I should not watch it. One year I went upstairs while it was on

Well, I've picked 3, cos OH is paying;-) :-D

£1 straight win on the favourite "SHUTTHEFRONT DOOR" 7-1, cos I'm always telling everyone to do that! :-D

£1 each way on ROYALE KNIGHT, 25-1, cos I did an answer on the quizzes today using "Knighthood" :-D :-D

and 50p each way on ACROSS THE BAY, 33-1, cos I love the view across the bay from my home village ;-) :-D :-D :-D

Fly <3 pleased to hear that your Dad is feeling better than he was this morning <3 I am doing just fine thanks, my eyesight is improving in leaps and bounds since my eye operation ;-) and up until today I've had to use a 40pt font and a magnifying glass to be able to read or do anything on my computer :-( but as of this morning I have been able to reduce the font to 18pts and no longer need to use a magnifying glass ;-) plus I will not have to endure burnt offerings at meal times any more as I can now see my oven and microwave controls :-D so things are at last on the up as far as my eyes are concerned ;-)

Dermot :-D :-D :-D the problem with putting stuff in safe deposit boxes is that if the contents are stolen, much of what is taken will never be known because the owners will not want HMRC to find out what they had stashed away for a rainy day :-D :-D :-D

Nobody has informed me yet whether or not my safe deposit box in Hatton Garden was one of the dozens nicked over the weekend. :-S
