Haven't read the book but loved the film of Die Blechtrommel

"The Tin Drum" where he hides under the grandmother's skirts.. a brilliant read, i read it ages ago and now i wish i had kept the book for re-read..think i must have lent it out and never got it back. :-(

Gunter Grass poet and author has died in Lubeck aged 87.
