History of my house??

This may be a silly question but, does anyone know how I can research the people that lived in my house? The house was built in the 1960's so not too long ago.

Any points in the right direction would be great

Electoral roles at your local library should be your best bet.

If you can get a copy of the deeds, then that will also list owners and may also show who owned the site before the houses were built. When we had to sell MIL house (built 1930's), there was sheaves of papers giving the history of the land back to 1700s.
