I stir clockwise.

No idea what OH does. He doesn't drink tea, just black coffee, no sugar and I make most of those.

If he makes drinks for us, I would probably not be in the kitchen at the same time.

I'll watch and find out.........

Dermot - one should never use boiling water on half decent coffee or whatever you may be used to because it singes the coffee and mars the taste.

Any way which takes my fancy at that moment in time.

I hate it when a coffee is offered where it is obvious the water has not been boiled. Tepid coffee makes me want to pour it down the sink where it really belongs.

Ungrateful sod, aren't I?

Milk last, but first with coffee. Hot liquid being poured onto milk alters the taste so it's more like boiled milk apparently hence doing tbat for coffee. Before I read that somewhere, I would put milk in last with coffee too.

I have heard a saying thst if you stir someone else's tea for them you are stirring up trouble for them.

Wrong hands? How many does he have?

Anti clockwise, right handed. I'll check the fella, he's a leftie.

Dermot

Dermot Report 16 Apr 2015 12:18

There's never been a left-handed Pope so far.

'Ciotogach' is the Irish language word for 'left-handed'.

Stir clockwise, am left handed.

Hold cutlery in the 'usual' hands, but knit from the right needle onto the left one.

Sharron

Sharron Report 16 Apr 2015 12:04

Fred's mate, right handed, holds his cutlery in the wrong hands.

Anti clockwise, just comes naturally that way. I'm right handed.

LadyScozz Report 16 Apr 2015 10:51

DH is right handed, as I am

No idea why he stirs anti-clockwise....... I must ask his siblings how they stir.

I think I'll look for one of those reverse clocks ...... he'd like that. :-D

maggiewinchester Report 16 Apr 2015 09:29

Sharron - I've never heard that saying before :-0

Just realised, when I visualised it, and stirred in the air I thought I stirred anti-clockwise, as that seemed the easiest motion.
I just went back to the kitchen and made a coffee - and I actually stir clockwise!

Does whether a person's left or right handed determine the way they stir?

LadyScozz

LadyScozz Report 16 Apr 2015 08:56

lol Dermot..... he does other things that are a LOT more interesting to watch than stirring tea :-D

Now he's saying the tea tastes "funny" when I stir it clockwise :-S

and........most Aussie cakes are upside-down :-D especially the pineapple ones

Sharron

Sharron Report 16 Apr 2015 08:26

This is quite worrying.

He will be stirring the devil into his tea by stirring anti-clockwise.
