Hasn't anyone else got suggestions of how I can sponsor him?

He is going to set up a pop up stand doing a sausage sizzle.washing up in his stepmothers cafe...dog walking etc etd..

I have suggested that he sends me a weekly bulletin of what he has achieved..also his other gran here in Wales will join me...at least then we will have more communication !!....does that sound like blackmail to get a teenager to communicate?
Your thoughts please........... :-S

It was quite well known around here in England

Aside from their individual fund raising, the schools used to arrange for them to be 'packers' at the main supermarkets at Christmas in return for a customer's donation.

A friend whose daughter went took the opportunity to persuade her aged father to clear out his loft. They sold what they could at a Boot Fair. Two birds with one stone - lol

It will be hard work, not only raising the money, but also the physical work they'd be expected to do in the host country. As they'll probably be escorted on treks off the tourist trail, they'll probably see and experience things they wouldn't otherwise.

If he isn't fit when he leaves, he will be by the time he gets back!!

Has anyone heard of this and had a teenager get involved?..........

My almost 16 yr old grandson in Australia has put his name down for this next year.
It seems a very good idea to get youngsters motivated..
.
This is a trip to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands in a charitable way, helping to build schools, teaching, conservation, animal care...etc etc

OK it costs a lot ,but the idea is that they have to fund it themselves by working and sponsoring.
He has lots of ideas on raising the money,so I do hope he stays motivated .

I have given him an idea of how I can sponsor him from here...will discuss it later!!!
