Dear Sir Harry

Hello to you.

Lead a dull life? Not likely when you have a garden to tend. :-)

Seeing flowers flourish is a miracle of nature.

Its lovely to see you more happier.

Take gentle care
With very best wishes to you
Love Elizabeth, EOS

Harry, what you describe is not dull, just quiet satisfaction. Hope all your babies do well.

I am just pleased that a couple of things I took small pieces of from an overgrown part of the garden of the holiday cottage we stayed in, have thrived and grown really well. Each time I see them I recall our holiday last year

I plan to thin out my tub of cyclamen that brighten autumn and winter, and take some to leave in the garden of the cottage in June. When the owners return for their winter stay in their own home they will get a surprise.

I love watching the insects. My garden small, but is a paradise for them.
In other words - a bit of a wilderness :-D

BUT, I have sloworms, miner bees, uncovered a leopard slug last week, and have quite a few fairly young crab spiders - and that's just the obvious that I've spotted :-D

Gosh, I'm easily pleased :-D :-D :-D

Know what you mean Harry,,,,,,great to see you,,,,,,

My runner beans have all shot though and will be ready to plant out in about another two weeks when less chance of a frost along with the summer cabbages,,,,,,,my peas are up about 4 inches in the allotment,,,,,but are getting nibbled by the weeviles,,,,,,,strawberries are on a rampage,,I've got seedlings sprouting everywhere to go in the allotment,,,,,,and my first earlies have about 6" top growth and have to keep hilling them up incase of a night frost.

Nice to see you again Harry,

but talking of Pleasure.......

got this in a email as you do.......

For those who do not listen to the 'Today' programme on BBC Radio 4.
Right at the end of a programme recently,

there was a discussion about the obscene cost of entry into Premiership football games,
the cheapest price of £60 and £100 per game is not uncommon.

An older chap being interviewed said he could recall many
years ago arriving at the turnstiles and being told

(it was probably West Ham United):

"That will be ten quid, mate".

"What?!" the old chap said

"I could get a woman for that!"

The guy on the turnstile retorted:

"Not for 45 minutes each way

with a brass band and a meat pie in the interval,

you wouldn't!"

I have spent this morning planting a load of veg out - had a bumper crop last year.

There can be few things more satisfying than preparing a meal using produce you have grown and nurtured yourself.
