I enjoy doing jigsaws and usually have one on the go. I get given them as presents, and at other times buy them at car-boots and charity shops. I have had the occasional missing piece, but usually they are excellent value -- until the other day!! |

If it was a car boot sale, you could say that it was fraud. On the other hand if you bought it at a charity shop, at least they have benefitted. |

It was a charity shop. At £1.99 the cost is immaterial - I was just slightly miffed!! |

Disappointing more than anything. Perhaps it would be useful if charity shops put the puzzles together before selling them. Not likely though unless they are lucky enough to have a volunteer who is an enthusiast. |

Might be an idea to mention it to the shop so they are aware this can happen. |

I suppose that it IS possible if the puzzle was part of a house clearance, etc, the donor didn't know bits were missing......... |

So sad to hear of your disappointment. In the charity shop where I volunteer we have a system for jigsaws. They are clearly marked "Checked" or "Unchecked" and are priced accordingly. Some go home with volunteers as do board games to make sure they are complete. |
