About a family in London who had lots of kids
and the little girl washed a silk nighty and it shrank
also they went hop picking in kent

I think they lived at Widowsham crescent

I just cant think of the name of it
I read it at school and think there was also a second book :-D :-D

Is it 'The Family at One End Street', by Eve Garnett?
There were 3 books - here's the Wiki link:

It's funny, as the 'lots of children' bit reminded me of the books. I didn't read them as a child, but read them to my children :-D
