Lovely post Elizabeth.

I always vote and have encouraged my children to do so too, although we never discuss who we have chosen.
Grandson (19) has voted in his 1st General Election, although he has voted locally before, encouraged in turn by his Mum, my daughter.

Dear All

Hello

Thank you so much for your replies. :-)

It was very kind of you ALL to respond.

I wonder what the youngsters who have reached
the eligible age think of voting?

Good weather usually means a large turnout at the polling stations.

Well for now, take gentle care, dear folks. <3

With lots of good wishes and hugs too
Love from Elizabeth, EOS

We voted this afternoon..Some of the representatives were stood outside with their 'colours' on. Not one spoke to us as we went in and out. Not one has knocked on our door in the 8 years we have lived here. So although I put my X I don't think any of them deserve my vote really.

Hello Elizabeth.

It is, indeed, a privilege to be able to vote when so many around the world are denied this act of democracy.

We went to vote this morning and there was actually a queue......well, 4 or 5 people ahead of us and it seems the venue had been very busy!

Now we just have to wait for the outcome which, whatever it is, will certainly not please everyone. :-)

Well said Elizabeth, hope your day continues to be peaceful. We are usually away in May so have a standing postal vote. So our votes were cast two weeks ago.
