I enjoyed it too.
It's nice to hear all the old songs we knew...and you know what I noticed....you could hear every word in the songs, which is not so today.
I was also impressed with Alexander Armstrongs voice...didn't know he could sing...in fact he was better than some of the professionals.
As some of you may know,I play in a little band of oldies and we are playing in June at a centenary of the WI.We are playing at our local church and we will play some of those old tunes that the ladies...and guests ,will know and it is rather topical at the moment,so we are hoping it will go down well.
If the weather is good we are playing outside, near a lot of ancient grave stones,
If not ,we will be inside the church.we are hoping for a nice sunny day as it is a strawberry tea...yum yum!! :-D

Wasn't it great, loved watching the audience dancing in the aisles with true London spirit, they know how to party. Like Chris I don't normally like Chris Evans but he did a great job. It was all very evocative and being born in 1940 I too knew all the songs. Thought Pixie Lott sang beautifully and also the three girls together. And Alfie Boe of course. Alexander Armstrong too has a good voice. Well done to them all for a great production. :-) :-)

I knew all the words of all of the songs and in turn taught children and g.children some of them. Run rabbit run was a favourite.

I have to admit I only have to see/hear Chris Evans and I change over - however tonight I thought I will give it 10-15 minutes and ten out of ten for Chris tonight, he was an excellent compere.

i was born just after VE day, and this program had me in happy tears as my parents were Londoners and my dad used to sing all those songs to me when i was growing up
even though we lived in Yorkshire.

I thought it was the best performance i have seen in a long time, and i loved the reading of the letters and the films too

this has lifted my spirits after the downer of yesterdays events in our country.

I do hope there will be a dvd , i can't wait to watch it all again :-D :-D :-D
