Fabulous guitar player.

Had his first No.1 in 1951, which I believe stayed there for 17 weeks. Did his apprenticeship by playing The Chitlin Circuit, no instant fame for him.

Started out singing gospel in church, as many of the greats began.

I smiled to myself when I listened to the news today, they said he played along with U2, sorry, but should that not be, that U2 played along with B.B. King?

He was one of the greats with his guitar Lucille, rated by Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix.

He will be missed.
