I was looking at Sheffield FHS to see what events they had on. I so would love to go to this .......

Talking of dirty stop-outs, I found a copy of our local paper under the old lino that I was taking up, mid fifties it was. There was an article regarding a SEVENTEEN year old girl in court for being beyond parental control, she had been staying out until ten at night, and drinking! I can also remember my older brother being summoned for cycling on a public footpath. His defence was that there was no Public Footpath sign. The police actually went to check, and sure enough, he was right, and got off. I found the said sign in our shed. The b....r had been and removed it.

Fiend and I were on a bus today (something he rarely does), we sat upstairs at the front (my preferred seat), when I remembered when a boy who was messing about, managed to push the front window out of the school bus.
When threatened with paying for it, he counter-claimed that he could have fallen out of the said missing window - and got away with it.
