I agree Shirley that some parts were a bit heavy, but my OH was a big chap and he liked it so we managed. It was also a four wheel one as thought that was safer.

We took it to the Eden Project and the battery lasted for 6 hour trip around...
Good job we had daughter and s.i.l with us as had to push him up the hill to the car parks when going...do make sure you keep battery charged!

Dizzy,,,,,,,,just a tip,you can buy velcro straps that go onto the handles that your hands slip in to so that you have better control,,,,mobility shops sell them....

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 21 May 2015 09:37

Hubby bought one 18 months ago . It does come apart but I found some of the parts too heavy for me to pick up into the car boot .He only used it around the houses locally so got limited use.

I saw someone with a smaller scooter at our local shopping mall and asked about it

Result is we bought a smaller one that I can manage and it's been a big success . He has only had it 6 weeks but we have had several hospital appointments in that time and he has used it to get around the hospital to the clinics which he would never have managed walking

I keep the new one in the car boot permanently ,just take the chair out of the car as this doesn't fit in the boot and has to go on the back seat when he wants to use the scooter

He does get a bit confused when trying to reverse etc but folks are very kind and wait for him . I tell em he still has his L plates on. Lol

We have to try and sell the other one now as its lounging in the garage

Enjoy the freedom it will give you Dizzy :-D
