OH turns sixty in June.

I had thought about doing the day trip to the Channel Islands that we have done in the past to celebrate but it looks like Condor is not offering them any more.

That is a disappointment.

You have to get on a ferry, so it's 'abroad' :-)

Sharron Condor still sail to the Channel Islands from Poole or Weymouth for day trips.£30 return to Jersey

So it says, but if you follow through the booking procedure to take the car, which we have always done before, you don't get offered anything that costs less than £200 and I am not spending that much on him!

Condor have recently bought a huge new jet ferry for operations Poole - Jersey. They have had some teething problems.

Weymouth operations have ceased.

Yeah, odd that 'cos they advertise the £ 99 trips in the echo, which has a special booking number. Maybe time to buy the local paper ?

Otherwise Brittany Ferries will do you a day trip on their fast cat for 2 people and car Portsmouth to Cherbourg for £ 78. Cherbourg has much better places to eat than Jersey and it is far cheaper too.
