GL. We had pulled beef at my sons on Saturday. I asked how long it would take in e slow cooker because it takes a long time cooked conventionally. I would love to give it a try. :-D |

I have a Remoska. We originally bought it for use in our trailer tent but use it at home mostly for jacket spuds. Also does chops and chicken joints rather well, and as it is only the size of a saucepan it uses less electricity than the oven. |

I have 3 slow cookers. One large one and one medium and one has 3 small pots all joined together. I belong to a group on Facebook called Slow Cooker Saddo's. Its a brilliant group and they cook your sunday breakfast overnight ,cakes made with coke and lots more. A brilliant site as they show you the creation from start to finish and even the ones that go wrong |

I think on low I usually cook beef stew 10 hours, but like Mari Celeste I either part boil potaoes first or cook separately as they don't seem to cook well in that time. |

I find that most savoury recipes that are 'stew' like, and say 'cook in a casserole in the oven for ever', can usually be cooked in the slow cooker :-D |

I've looked for recipes on the internet, most of them I wouldn't make. |
