On a post adoption Cert it gives the Number of the entry, Date of Entry,Name of adopted child,Sex of child,Name/address of the adopters,Date of birth of child,Date of adoption order and description of court by which made and then the signature of Officer deputed by Registrar General to attest to the entry.

Just taken all this info off my mum's adoption cert.

Hope this helps.

Re-post full adoption post certificates dont give place of birth the only area that is shown is the county of grant,,,,,,ie,,,,,,Sunderland County Court or Brentford County Court,,,,,this method is adapted throughout UK.,,,also entered is adoptive parents names, address and occ.and of course dates.along with wording,,,,,,a copy of an entry into the Adopted Childrens Register,,,,,,,thats is often when adoptees find they are adopted.

The date of birth remains the same as this is a legal document for legal purposes which require proof if ID,,,,,,,,,,,.NO date of birth appears in the ACR,

Can someone please confirm if the date of birth and area of birth will be the same on your actual birth certificate and then the one produced when you have been adopted... just the parents/your new name and registration district will change.

Thank you in advance
