I'm not her biggest fan but she gets some very unfair press.

I still can't take to her though.

Fair enough, bob. :-)

I apologise and withdraw my remarks.

She sold one autograph on ebay.

She did it to make a point because other people were selling Tony's autograph and if you write to him you get one for nothing. She refunded the money immediately it was sold. But let's not let the truth get in the way of personal abuse, shall we?

He was official envoy for the Middle East Quartet - it is others who have chosen to call him peace envoy.
A large part of his remit/mandate was to support Palestinian economic development with a view to the creation of a future Palestinian state.

Gossip besmirches everyone - eventually.

He was constantly referred to as Middle East Peace Envoy, so there is a clue there somewhere in the title. Even the Guardian had a scathing attack on him by Francis Beckett pointing out the conflicts of interest, and the fact hat he did seem to be lining his own pockets at the same time. He does seem to have made a lot of money out of being a "Socialist" It is said, in his defence, that he gives away millions to charities, but we could all do that if we had tens of millions. Or is it hundreds of millions. A personal opinion here, which may get me RR'd, but my take on his wife is that she is a scouse Chav on the make. I read somewhere that she was even selling Tone's autographs on E-Bay. Rant over. I await Rollo putting me straight.

Someone must have liked him at the Ballot Box.

It's a shame that so many have little idea what success feels like.

...as long as he can get money for it.....

I did not know what his job was out there, but has I said I don't think we have heard the last of our Tony

eRRolSheep

His main focus was economic development and not peace negotiations.

Denburybob

So that is why the Middle East is such a peaceful place! All down to good old Tone.

I have seen on sky news that Tony Blair is going to quit his role has Middle East Peace Envoy next month. He took up the role after he left number 10 in 2007 and he did not get paid for it. If its true bet we have not heard the last of him
