Well,I have a blind friend who I take out once a week to see a band we like.

He has a Machine that he puts on shirt, trousers etc and it tells him what colour...it's very good, but he doesn't always check his shoes and He has lovely brogues in brown ,black,beige...I have to check his shoes as have been out with him in odd ones.

I tried to solve it by telling him to tie his laces together when he takes them off...but does he? No...

There is an excuse I Suppose for him as it is not easy coping living alone when blind and we do have a laugh at times as he stuck on a door handle with ointment instead of glue because he had the two tubes on the kitchen table.
Thought that might give you a laugh!! :-D :-D

How on earth could you walk around all day with one higher heel and one flat shoe and not notice?

One shudders to contemplate what the second occasion was!

Yep - done that, twice!

The first one was on a day trip to Calais. I had really grumbled about walking over the cobble-stones. It was only when we were on the ferry coming home that we noticed one black shoe had a heel; the other was flat. (I blame the early start ;-))

Sounds like the epitome of sartorial elegance to me.

I even have a mismatching dickie bow.

My friends daughter has just called in on her way from taking her little girl to the doctors. We stood chatting I glanced down at her feet, to see she was wearing odd shoes, one black one blue. As she looked down the look on he face was priceless.
I laughed and said I have done that, but she said she was mortified she had been to the supermarket, and stood at the school gates, and no one said a word,
