I am reluctant to let those drop as my FTM is linked to Ancestry and I use FMP

Genes too offers different even if you dont use its records you make cyber friends with banter etc and can meet up and put faces to members names /thread posting pseudonyms

I was recently charged £8. 96 to renew my standard membership - £1 more than last year. Maybe they will increase the payment every year until we are paying the same as new members - although by then there won't be any members anyway!!

Not the best response and absolute rubbish - any half decent website which maintains a "stable, ongoing and accessible" database will be able to reinstate.
Of course that is unless they are not using the most up-to-date and compliant systems. Not that I am saying anything, of course.

It was £7.00 Ann, and the years afterwards it has been various prices, but my tree has gone I contacted GR and asked for it to be reinstated the reply was it couldnt be done....

Not necessarily - in the past I have left and then returned within a short space of time to negotiate a better deal. It works.

If you left and returned Jean it will be more than people who have never left. :-)

I recently paid £9.98 for an annual Platinum membership.
Not bad in my book.

So much for gradually moving everyone up to the same annual sub.......

They have just charged me £13+ I had it on auto it was supposed to be off ,cant work out what they charge folk I have been a member since 2006, usually paid £9.00 or even £7.... I only come on for the chat, my tree went when I came off a few years ago,
so never bothered to do any more....
