I bought a bag of it on Friday, we had some last night.

I steamed it, so it was still a bit crispy (the way I like my veg).

DH hates it! He says it's bitter, but I thought it was OK, but I'd rather have cabbage :-)

I have half a bag of the stuff in the fridge........ who wants it?

I'll take it, Scozz :-D :-D

We love kale and grow it along with silverbeet. We love the 'pick and come again' plants

Try making a soup. :-D
If neither of you like it, at least you've tried it :-D

I thought of making a veggie lasagne....... he'll eat that!

If he was given lamb chops, mashed potatoes & peas every day, he'd be happy.

borrrrrrrrrrrrrrring :-(

I detest lamb chops :-|

When OH has them (she could eat them every day) I'll cook myself a chicken breast.

When I'm trimming the fat off I'll also give the cat some of the raw chicken. Like me, he loves chicken :-D :-D :-D

I have a memory from school "domestic science" class.........

Don't cook lamb chops three nights in a row :-(

Our OH's would love that.......... but who can afford it these days?

Remember when lamb shanks were about $1 each? Then the yuppies found them and the price skyrocketed. I remember going through the checkout at the supermarket and being asked if they were dog's meat!

I love the little chump chops (I cut every piece of fat off), not too fond of leg chops, too fatty.

Allan........ I forgot to ask....... how do you cook kale? That a question for you, not a general "how do you cook kale".

I steamed it for about 5 minutes, then mixed in a crushed clove of garlic, black pepper, a teeny bit of olive oil & a squeeze of lemon juice.

You could shred it very finely and deep fry it.

That is what deep fried sea weed is in a Chinese restaurant.

You are not very likely to get sea weed.

I've had seaweed.......... but that was in Hong Kong :-D It was yummy.

I'll try shredding it and cooking it in a wok. We don't have a deep fryer.

You can make kale chips, Scozz. Google them: there is one link below that gives several recipes for kale

We just steam our Kale, as we do with most vegetables these days :-)

nice recipes there Allan. I'd eat most of them :-) but Himself wouldn't!

I blame his ancestors.......... from Cornwall & Germany. I keep threatening to feed him a Cornish pastie & sauerkreut! Not sure where his curry-loving gene comes from :-S

My Viking ancestors gave me genes that make me try just about anything! :-S
