Hi Maggie,
Well, yes that's a whole other story, thankfully, though quickly over :-S

I don't mind the fasting - it's the procedure I'm fasting for that has me all of a quiver :-0

Hi Iris, and hi AnninGlos and Phill. Good to hear about your experiences too. I shan't worry next time :-) S

I have to do the 14 hour one twice a year. As you say Ann, it is the thought that's worse.

That was a nice early appointment, my last one was 0930. But I always find the thought is worse than the event.

I thought I would be fainting with hunger, but no.

This is what I did and it worked:

My appointment was at 8:20. At half-seven the night before I put a spud in the combi oven and grated some cheese into the leftover homemade coleslaw that need using up. Bit of chopped parsley into the mix. Bit of extra mayo. Generous black pepper. No butter (wasn't I good). Cracked open a bottle of beer to wash it down and settled down with OH to watch our favourite soap. Fab supper - will do again - glad I didn't add any salt, because salt in cheese and mayo was more than enough.

At 8:20pm my phone bleeped to remind me of the appointment in twelve hours and I handed the half-a-bottle of beer I hadn't drunk to OH. Opened bottle of sparkling water and sipped on that for rest of evening. Always tastes better if you swig straight from bottle (pig). Next morning followed usual routine but left complete breakfast on table ready. Did quick bit of housework while OH ate his. Went off to appointment - still not suffering. Yeah!
