If you did it on line, then print the acceptance out and keep that in the car anyway. You could perhaps laminate the vital bits and stick it on the windscreen anyway!

as my tax expires end of this month....I have already renewed it,

but as I don't now get a new disc, I intend leaving the old one on the screen..........

presumably the old offence of displaying a non valid tax disc now doesn't exist?

or I might knock up a spoof version with my renewal details on it...

???
