Couldn't make out the letter next to the wing. N is navigator. Knew he was aircrew with the wing, pilots have 2 wings so knew he wasn't a pilot. I am ex WRAF but somewhat later than your father. :-) |

Pat the photo was taken just after he got his sergeant stripes, he was a radio operator during the war and was annexed to the SAAF. |

would have been my Dads 90th birthday, 1925- 2006 I didn´t post it because I was in Sheffield and didn´t want to drag the giggles down BUT I did drag the girls that day to Sheffield cathedral where I lit a candle. |
