We get at least one 'phone call a day from these callers, driving me nuts. I've given up telling them not to call, and that they are breaking the law (because we're on the Do Not Call Register), but they don't care.

So now I'm going to play games with them.

I'm sick of them, and like you LadyScozz, I decided it's time to play games.

I had one of those regarding "my recent accident" which, apparently, was close to my home.
They asked if I recalled it, so I said of course I do.
Then they asked for personal information, to which I replied that if they're phoning about the accident, then they must know who I am and what my address is...at the very least.
They said they needed to verify, so I suggested they go ahead and tell me their info and I'll be the one to verify. Oh no we can't do that, they said.
To which I replied "I know you can't. Because you actually know B****** All".

D'you know what? They hung up :-P
WHAT a surprise!

It's the charities that make me feel guilty.

If we gave money to every charity that asked, we'd need charity ourselves!

From today, I can officially tell them I'm a pensioner and can't afford it.

I've reached the milestone of 65. :-D
