friend of my father?

hi

thinking back to my wedding day my idad ntroduced me to this women about my age then 1973 and he said this was his friend and she had her young daughter with her approx 2 to 4 years old?

why would he say friend? my father was approx 60years old then in 1973.
and when i was young he used to go away for awhile cannot what my mother said was the reason? was this women really his friend? we can only wonder

Makes you wonder but then you could be putting two and two together and making six ,as my mum would say

only elder person still that might know is 95years old and would they remember or even tell me?

Always worth a try asking Gillian, do make sure you really want to know the answer tho´.
Admittedly I would wonder but like Shirley said it could be 2 + 2 making 6.

Ask some other members of the wedding, maybe they can remember a name.

I agree with Uzzi. I would start by asking others who were at the wedding. Is the lady in question likely to be in any of the wedding photos?

Careful you don't let your imagination run away with you :-D :-D There is probably a perfectly innocent explanation :-)
