Does anybody remember rolling down the hills in car tyres !!!!!

Yes,it was great fun, Plus making a cart out of pram wheels,and going down the same hills on a makeshift sledge. :-D Plus Scrumping.**M**.

we made soap carts to
and had loads of fun not an Xbox in sight :-D :-D

Any boxes around and the would have been used to customise the cart. :-D

I remember the cart on wheels. We went down a hill, and sadly when we reached the bottom , the whole thing collapsed. (the cart, not the bottom) :-D

We used to put a rope round the lamp posts and swing round all day :-D

We were poor....so we had a bit of cardboard to go down the grassy bank :-D :-D

We had sacking bags ..lol

and my did it hurt your *um going over the bumps ..lol

We used to use shovels (in summer downhill on grass, in winter downhill on snow)...... sit on them and use the handle to steer! Mum could always tell when we took the shovel from the coal shed :-D

I've seen expensive plastic "snow toys" that look just like those shovels!

If I may be so bold to add a new post to this list..On our way to and from school we would roll down to the bottom of this big hill in the park..No shovels ,cardboard,or wheels for us..We would lie horizontal to the hill and roll over and over until we reached the bottom. Then climb up and do it again..It,s a wonder we ever got to school.. :-) :-) :-) :-) ;-) ;-)
