GR says you can't print off a full tree, only segments
URL for My History included in the text
.........

If you do splash out on a Printer, you'd still need an offline FH prog to convert the gedcom...unless you do as Rollo suggests and upload to a free account on Ancestry

Its not likely to work!

You'd be downloading your tree in the form as a gedcom. That will need a FH tree program to read and open it in the format you're used to.

Depending on how large your tree is (there are known problems printing directly from GR) you could log on at the library and print directly from the site.

Alternatively, try up loading the gedcom to another site such as familysearch or any other free FH one and print from there.

How about asking one to the printing companies to do it for you? Geneological Printers are supposed to be quite good + GR have a tie-in with My History (I think)

Warning - gedcoms have a tendency to mangle some data. You'd want to check it before printing off from a different programme

1. GRU have removed the print facility for the whole tree
2. the only way you can export the tree is as a GED (text) file. Select this option and GRU will email the file to you aas an attachment. The export can take up to an hour. Make sure yr email with GRU is up to date and yr email program accepts attachments!
3. the GED file is in text format but will look like a lot of gobbledegook. It will contain names, places, dates only no notes or pictures.
4. in order to print this out you will have to import the GED file. Most libraries have Ancestry and that can import the GED file ok from a USB key.
5. print

nb: Unless yr tree is small ( under 500 entries ) think twice before a physical print at 10p a sheet. It could easily run into an expensive option and you'd do better to pick up a cheap printer in Tesco or Staples.

if the library support staff have not set up Ancestry / windows properly for European date format you may hit problems with dates. Rare but not unknown.
If Ay is not available there are several free utilities that will run from a usb key.
if the library bars usb keys then you are out of luck. This is a growing tendency due to the terrorist paranoia.
