I reckon I'm the only one on this thread staying up late - late being 10pm! I'm an early riser - who do you think has to replenish the bird feeder at c6am? Greedy lot, they are too. They'll eat me out of house & home.

On the other hand, it was nice to watch a mother bird feed her youngster as they were both perched on the wooden fence. (It's always the females who feed their offspring.)

We have greedy birds too. My OH spends a fortune on sunflower hearts, but we are rewarded by flocks of goldfinches and their young, families of blackbirds - to say nothing of gluttonous wood pigeons and collared doves - even pheasants come for their daily banquet :-D :-D
