It is evidently not hot enough yet.

I like to feel like I am sleeping outside so I open all the windows I can. Yesterday I left the front bedroom window wide open all day thinking it would mean we had a coolish house and a cool night.

We sleep in the back bedroom and this morning, when I went in the front bedroom, the window was tight shut, our bedroom window is only open about an inch.

Just because his mother thinks you should sleep in a hermetically sealed chamber, I don't understand why OH thinks he must still do so.

30 in the kitchen....... what's the temp outside?

We had a beautiful day..... blue sky, a few puffy white clouds, and 18C. Pretty good for winter :-D The sun has gone down, and the temp has dropped to a brisk 14C.

I hate being cold.

Well my daughter's area of the East Midlands has just gone to 1 C degree more than here and friends in Basingstoke are registering the same as here.

We're having a cooler than normal summer here so it's obvious to me you've just pinched our sun. ;-)

So pleased to have invested in an air conditioning unit some years ago, it's been worth it's weight in gold.

I guess they will have all sold out now there's a heatwave..

The newest model is three times cheaper to run than the old but I was glad to use it in the lounge this evening and spent a comfortable evening with one hosed down collie . It's so good to have a cool study for her to rest during the hot days.

Manic on the nearby M20 which is just a huge lorry park of vehicles waiting to cross the Channel.

Local trucks were handing out thousands of bottles of water to the drivers stranded in soaring temperatures.
