Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 4 Jul 2015 09:55

Years ago I went to work in London from Kent in mismatched shoes. Both the same style but one black and one brown . Didn't realise it till mid afternoon then felt everyone must have noticed

S..ds law not long after I realised it a colleague very loudly said do you know you have odd shoes on ?? and an office full of 25 plus people looked I'm my direction .

I laughed and said yes I know .its the new trend ,I have another pair at home .

Lots of laughter but I did feel a fool .

I left home early in those days to get the train to commute to London and it was still dark in the mornings so I picked up what I thought was a pair

Never so pleased to get home that evening. Lol :-( ;-) ;-)

It's the socks gnomes that pinch your socks when you're not looking ;-) Unless they don't like the look of them; in which case they make holes in them.

Well I can not help with a cream sock because when I last looked my daughter was wearing them.

The last time we had maintenance done on the washing machine, I asked the technician if he knew where all the socks went. He said he wished he knew, his machine eats socks too! Why is it that we end up with a few odd socks? Or don't we notice when a pair goes missing?

I keep a bag in the spare room cupboard, all the odd socks go in there. Every few months I look to see if I can find a matching pair :-D

its a common fact
one sock from every pair eventually runs off during the night

to join the sock circus ;-) ;-)

When I couldn't find some socks I wanted in the shops I found them at Sock Shop online. I've just had a look and they have a range of cream socks and will price in Aussie dollars but you might well have an equivalent Australian online shop which might be cheaper.

My grandsons ALWAYS wear odd socks.
I think a lot of it has to do with them discarding socks anywhere.
Once, when I stayed over, and the sofa was turned into a bed, we found 10 socks (none matching) in the sofa. Many of them were (by the time we found them) too small for the boys :-S

Start a new trend ,wear two different socks and tell folks that they are the newest fashion and you bought them like that as a pair

I have two drawers full of socks.

Black, white, grey, blue, pink, red, etc, striped, some with dogs, flowers etc etc, some with lace tops & even two pairs of socks with toes. Musn't forget the two pairs of socks with Santa on them.... haven't worn them for over 15 years, as we now live in the sub-tropics and it's HOT at Christmas.

I had two pairs of cream coloured socks....... now I only have one pair, because there's a hole in the toe of one :-( Don't suggest darning it...... I can't stand the feel of darned socks!

My problem? I can't find cream/tan coloured socks anywhere!

Any cast-off socks gratefully accepted. :-D
