One of my ancestors was killed at the Battle of St Albans during the Wars of the Roses. Maybe if he had had this handy tome he may have survived. Yes, he could read.

This post may be referred but I put it to you that it is more interesting than socks or the curious sex life of coat hangers or why neatly stacked electrical and computer cables always entwine themselves in knots when unattended.

My daughter does HEMA, which is Historical European Martial Arts.
