Aaah - that's a shame, but she knows which side her bread is buttered :-D

Bit of a setback.

BP was enjoying some meat inside the back door when somebody came round and startled her.

She has not been back yet but the tabby one has come in and eaten the meat.

There is some more down now in the hope that BP may summon up the courage to return.

...if they haven't 'produced' yet - chances are, they're already 'done'.
Having said that, the Cat's Protection League is offering neutering at £10 at the moment.
I only know this 'cos the lovely lady who comes in to feed my cats when I'm away told me - and she's a volunteer for the League.

My cats don't go to a cattery because:
1. They really dislike each other, despite being siblings, and if kept in an enclosed space with each other would be violently unhappy bunnies.
2. If kept separately, they would be equally unhappy, because they have a 'This is my territory' mindset, which would be denied them if kept separately. In my home, they each have their self- determined 'area' (room) they sleep in.
3. I've never had them inoculated against whatever you're supposed to drag them to the vets every year and pay a fortune for, to avoid them getting whatever they've been inoculated against.
4. This is because previous cats have met their demise through:
a) old age
b) Hereditary stomach tumours
Neither of which (I believe) can be inoculated against.
We did have an un-inoculated cat who caught cat flu aged 16. She survived and lived to about 22 years

Good luck Sharron!! :-D :-D :-D

(they'll be in as soon as it gets cold)

Good for you Sharron although I agree with Liz, no avoiding the next meet.
I couldn´t do it, I stroke and play with others, but I couldn´t take another dog in this soon. Believe me they have tried ;-)

maybe Desmond

I will probably get a trap in soon.

They are evidently thinking about it and that is the stage we were at when I trapped Desmond and Idi before him.

They need to be caught soon, before they start breeding, especially if one of them is female.

We have two young stray cats around. There are a couple of other cats around too but these have been pretty regular visitors for quite a long time, auditioning for Desmond's position once he vacated it.

Both of them, BP (Black Pussy) and Tacky Bat (Tabby Cat) were around in the garden for most of the day yesterday.

We feed them meat twice a day and leave biscuits out all the time (we don't encourage them at all!) and now I have taken to putting meat six feet inside the back door and BP comes in to eat it so I hope I might have a cat again soon, one for my lap.

I need to get them both in and seen to soon because we don't want hundreds of cats hanging about.
