Cardiff does not readily come to mind as a location for a test match still less the first Ashes test v the men of Oz. No fear it is a wonderful ground a bit like Trent Bridge or Headingly and much better than Lords or the Oval. Days don't come much better than yesterday.

Do Welsh kids have a tradition of fishing cricket balls out of the river Taff?
