Hi LadyScozz
You are not alone I am going through something similar, I also have Trochanteric Bursitis I have had the corterzone injection which has helped a great deal with that at the moment, but I dread to think what will happen when it wears off.
Its a bit of a long story, I had a hip replacement in 2006 it was a metal on metal hip implant which went horribly wrong, I had to have it taken out and replaced last year, it was in such a state they broke a bone in two places getting the old one out., so I had to be in a wheelchair for 4 months not putting any weight on my right side.
My right leg got very wasted, I have only just got some physio and I have been trying really hard to do my exercises as I was told but I have been in such pain I just can't do them any more. I have another appointment monday.
There is something else going on as I have a shooting pain right up my leg and a numb foot. I had similar pains straight after the op but then they were much more painful than they are at the moment.
I've got an appointment for an MRI next friday so maybe I will find out what is going on with my body.

Harmony ~ you're in a terrible state........ I have a small problem compared to you! I know what you mean about the physio, I've stopped going, fed up with the patronising attitude. I don't think physio helps if it makes me worse.

I 'phoned the medical centre this morning, finally, the report has arrived but my GP hasn't looked at it yet, so I made an appointment for Monday morning.

Meanwhile....... went to bed early last night, woke up at 2am, took more bombs, then woke up at 6.30 vomiting AGAIN! I now keep a bucket at the side of the bed, because I can't get to the bathroom fast enough. Went back to sleep, woke up at noon! Then I checked emails & postings on here, had a giggle, posted a daft joke and went back to bed.

It's now 2pm.......... I'm definitely going out tonight, I'm fed up!

Hi LadyScozz
Sorry I didn't mean to imply I was worse off than you, I do hobble around for most of the day and I have no sickness.
It is good to talk to someone who is going through a similar thing to you.
I just don't know what is going on with my leg!! Perhaps the MRI will shred some light on it, did you have to actually stay in the machine for a whole hour? can't say I'm looking forward to it, I had a bone scan before my last op where I had to stay perfectly still for about ten minutes and that was awful I couldn't stop my legs shaking the operator tied my feet together that solved it, must be a common problem as he knew what to do.

Harmony <3 I know you didn't mean to imply that you are worse off...... I'm not in a wheelchair, and can hobble around.

The MRI was on my pelvic area, so I wasn't fully in the machine. It's REALLY noisy, so if they don't offer you headphones, ask for them. I started off listening to Rod Stewart, but the noise of the machine drowned him out. :-(

Maybe you have a pinched nerve?

I couldn't sit up afterwards, which was a worry, so don't be surprised if you also need assistance.

I only woke up twice during last night, and didn't throw up, which is good :-S
