They are Catholic Parish Records. My Irish family weren't Catholics so of no help, it may have been why they moved to England from Galway. :-(

Have taken a quick look and will be doing more later

OH maternal father was a Carey from Killarney i did find some of his family from the 1901 and 1911 census including OH mum loving with her grandparenst on the 1911 .she was sent to Ireland to live when her mum and dad were having trouble getting somewhere to live that took children too in London

Will be good to try and go back pre 1901

I am not sure whether anybody else has posted this but it could prove useful.
The National Library of Ireland has made all parish registers available online for free.
