I'd like a woolly hat, please.
(But only if it fits.)

If there was one thing the people they were watching did not need it was a hat!

I can think of a few people I'd like to be seen on the front page of a newspaper..

They would be on a paradise beach emerging from the water wearing

a sodden, wet, knitted swimsuit :-D :-D :-D

I gave up wearing it absolutely years ago.

Back in the 1930s one of my rellies was fined at Morecambe for sunbathing topless. HE was 19.

I remember my mother telling me about when my grandmother spent months knitting my grandfather a swimming costume as a gift. It was of course full length and made of 3-ply wool - a labour of love indeed.

Unfortunately the first time he wore it, it stretched so much that it was below his knees, hanging by the straps!! The poor man was too embarrassed to come out of the water!

The problem with swimsuits is that I can never find anywhere to stash my snorkel...

...or my small change, for that matter.

Why do you always take your budgie when you go swimming?

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 16 Jul 2015 16:58

He likes to get out every once in a while.

Actually, I am just considering purchasing a pair of thermals - sitting outside a pub in Liverpool having been visiting for the day and am now seriously chilly.
