No,no.

My finger is hovering but I won't do it.

You have the right to discuss turnips if you wish, providing you respect their right to be turnips.

Just because I don't like them doesn't necessarily make them bad, whatever they taste like!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 17 Jul 2015 12:35

Freedom of speech is not about saying whatever you want. It is about recognising what is appropriate to say or not say and knowing when to say it without fear of recriminations.

It's a bit much when adults can't give opinions on what is in the news.
If the RR'r thought our comments were crass, they should try reading the comments in the online papers!!

Besides which, pulling a whole thread because some RR'r had an itchy finger smacks of many things, including a dislike of freedom of speech, but mainly laziness and indifference.

Sharron

Sharron Report 16 Jul 2015 22:39

It probably was although I though it was pretty inoffensive but I don't think our having such fun with it did anything to prolong it's life.

MargaretM Report 16 Jul 2015 22:37

You know it's possible that the thread was pulled because of the opening post. That would be Sharron's. If the problem was Ann's posts only those posts would have been removed not the whole thread.
