I remember very well catching crabs in the Mersey basin many moons ago. I threw them back of course.

Ohh do try and take a look , bet it will be a great sight to see.

we are inland in the Medway area but did visit Heybridge Basin some years ago on an ancestry hunt . Would love to have seen some local sights that could say my family saw that too :-D

It's only just down the road. It would not be beyond the realms of possibility for me to go and see them but I don't suppose I will.

Nobody has mentioned it locally but I have just seen in the paper that we have a huge school, some hundred or more, of starry smoothound sharks in the Medmerry lagoon.
