I think it is still in the bottom of the dresser so I have to catch it, can't wait!

Booked into the vets for 18.10.

There may be more to relate after that.

It still has not eaten or drunk so I think it wants to be feral.

when i was ten, my Dad brought a feral cat home, we already had a cat that was not feral. Called him Marmaduke, he would sit on the back of a chair, and hiss and put his paw out to scratch you.

He did calm down, but after about six months he sadly disappeared, and never came back.

In hindsight, i think my Dad should have known better.
Hope you have better luck with your Tabby, Sharon. :-)

NO SIGN of Sharron today

I hope pussy hasn't ate her :-( :-(

I think it is another feral tabby.

It is big I think so has probably been a feral round here for years.

Anyway, I am going to try to get it to the vet tomorrow. Then it is really a case of consulting with the charity. If it lives round here and it likes it that way, it may as well continue that way but with a health check.

Otherwise, they have places, like farms, that will home ferals.

Are you sure that you have caught the feral tabby and not somebody's rather annoyed pet? :-D

Sharron

Sharron Report 19 Jul 2015 18:40

I don't believe this.

Have just been talking to 'my' tabby cat, It didn't like it and moved into the bottom of the dresser where I hoped it would go.

As I looked out of the window, a tabby cat jumped over the wall.

No please, I don't need two tabby cats.

We are talking about her today so she can hear us.The same stuff as I was saying last night in the same tones.

He/she/it did calm down a bit but was out of the basket at once and in the back of the chair.

I was allowed to tickle the nose and round to the ear so it must have been a little bit confident with me.

As its feral it's probably a bit confused so has shut off for a time . Maybe if you get its friend it will settle but it may not want to be domesticated ether

Time will tell :-)

This is the first one I have taken in that didn't eat and drink as soon as it was left alone for the night.

I don't know where it is at the moment but have left the bottom of the dresser open so it can hide in there when it is brave enough.

We did communicate last night.

I had the holding basket on my lap for a couple of hours talking to it and calming it.
Wasable to tickle it's nose and cheek a little bit.

I took a feral kitten in years ago

I am not too sure about this one. It was born feral. If it really does not want to be in here I will get it seen to and let it live back in the garden.

There is still the black one to catch yet.

How lovely for you Sharron. I hope you give and receive lots of love from your new Tabby.

Sharron Report 19 Jul 2015 10:18

I let it out of the basket last night when I went to bed and it went straight inside the back of the armchair (it's one of those Mechano onesthat recline) and it hasevidently not been out.

No meat, no water, no dirt box.

The worst scenario is, I think, a litter of kittens in there.

Well done Sharron, hope the room isn't too vandalised and your new boss will settle well.

Caught it in the trap about two hours ago.

Have spent the time with the basket on my lap talking to and touching it a bit.

Going to bed now with no sign of the black one yet so have let it out of the basket and shut it in the front room with food, water and dirt box.

Don't want to think what I will find in the morning!
