Two girls went to a party where there was a Scotsman in full Highland Dress.

Thinking to have a bit of a laugh they approached the Scotsman and one said:

'People say that there is nothing worn under a Scotsman's kilt. Is that true?'

The Scotsman blushed and started to stutter, then he regained his composure and said

"I can't speak for other Scotsmen, but as for myself there is nothing worn under my kilt. It's all in perfect working order"

Many years ago I dragged DH to a Scottish Country Dance

He had great fun, especially renaming some of the dances

His favourite was "Strip The Widow"

I won't tell you what he renamed the Gay Gordon

:-)

we loved dancing in our Yoof!!!

I met hubby in 1955. at the sunday dance at the local catholic church had every sunday evening , it would be a waltz a quickstep and an Irish dance

When we got together we would always go dancing locally on a Sat evening. lots of catty girls in the ladies eyeing up what they thought was competition in bagging a guy

Sadly now in our old age we have too many aches and pains and balance problems to even think of trying but we have our memories :-D

I went to an old time dance evening last weekend.

It was great fun; the Waltzes, Foxtrots, Quickstep.

I particularly enjoyed the Gay Gordons.

I just hope that they had as good a time as I did ;-) :-D :-D :-D
